Pregnancy and Multiple Sclerosis
Těhotenství a roztroušenáskleróza mozkomíšní
Autorka podává přehled studií z druhé poloviny tohoto století, které se zabývají vzájemnýmvztahem těhotenství a roztroušené sklerózy mozkomíšní (RSM). Jejich výsledky svědčí pro to,že samotné období těhotenství je obdobím snížené aktivity onemocnění, zatímco poporodníobdobí, zejména jeho první tři měsíce, je zatíženo vysokým rizikem exacerbace RSM. Dlouho-dobou prognózu RSM těhotenství a porod nezhorší.

The author presents an overview of investigations from the second half of this century concernedwith the mutual relationship of pregnancy and multiple sclerosis. Their results suggest thatthe period of gestation is a time of reduced activity of the disease, while the post-partum period,in particular the first three months, are associated with a high risk of exacerbation of multiplesclerosis. The long-term prognosis of multiple sclerosis does not deteriorate as a result ofpregnancy and delivery.
