Effect of Elongated Cervical Collar on a Marginal Bone Level of Osseointeg-rated Dental Implants (a Clinical Study of System Impladent)
Vliv prodlouženého cervikálníholímce fixtury na ztrátu marginální kostiu oseointegrovaných dentálníchimplantátů (klinická studie systémuImpladent)
Cílem klinické studie je zhodnotit vliv obrobeného (hladkého) cervikálního límce fixtury naztrátu marginální kosti. Autoři zavedli 69 modifikovaných fixtur Impladent. Fixtury se odstandardních lišily geometrií, povrchem a cervikálním límcem. Ztráta marginální kosti bylaměřena po ukončení vhojovacího období a po jednom roce funkční zátěže implantátu. Byla vždyvýraznější u těch fixtur, které měly prodloužený hladký cervikální límec. Ostatní parametry(geometrie a povrch fixtury) neměly na ztrátu kosti vliv. Autoři usuzují, že prodlouženíhladkého cervikálního límce je z hlediska ztráty marginální kosti nevýhodné.

The aim of the clinical study is evaluation of the effect of the machined (smooth)cervical collar on marginal bone level. Authors placed 69 modified fixtures Impladent. Theseimplants differed from the standard fixtures by their geometry, surface, and type of cervicalcollar. Marginal bone level was measured both after the healing period and after one year offunctional loading of implants. The marginal bone lost was always more accentuated in theimplants with elongated smooth cervical collar. Other parameters (geometry and surface of thefixture) did not have any effect on the bone level. Authors concluded that implants withelongated smooth cervical collar are, from the viewpoint of the marginal bone level, unconvenient.
