Critical Period in the Enamel Development of PermanentDentition; Contribution to the Rational and Safe Fluoride Supplementationin Prevention of Dental caries in Preschool Children
Kritická perioda vývoje skloviny stálých zubů.Příspěvek k racionální a bezpečné fluoridové suplementaciv prevenci zubního kazu u dětí předškolního věku
Literární přehled výsledků epidemiologických studií zaměřených na definici období životadítěte, kdy je vyvíjející se sklovina stálých zubů nejvíce vnímavá k působení různých poškozu-jících faktorů. Tzv. kritická vývojová perioda pro sklovinu stálých zubů frontálního úsekuzahrnuje období mezi půl rokem a čtvrtým až pátým rokem života dítěte. V tomto období jenezbytné pečlivě dávkovat fluoridovou suplementaci v prevenci zubního kazu, aby se předešlovzniku nežádoucích nekariezních změn skloviny.

A literature overview on the results of epidemiological studies focused to definingthe period of child’s life, when developing enamel of permanent dentition is the most susceptibleto be influenced by different impairing factors. The so called critical developmental period forthe enamel of frontal permanent teeth spanns between the half year and the 4th to the 5thyear of child’s life. It is necessary in the above period to manage carefully fluoride supplemen-tation in prevention of dental caries owning to the preventing the development of non-cariousimpairments of the enamel.
