Consequennce of Nontreatment Scapholunate Instability of the Wrist
Následky neléčené skafolunátní nestability zápěstí
Autoři v prospektivní studii hodnotí výsledky pacientů po akutní ruptuře skafolunátního (SL) vazu, u kterých byla tato ruptura prokázána artroskopicky. V první skupině byla následně provedena reinzerce SL vazu pomocí kotvičky Mitek. Druhou skupinu tvořili pacienti, kteří měli prokázanou totální rupturu SL vazu a reinzerci vazu odmítli. Autoři hodnotí výsledky obou skupin po 24 měsících od úrazu, kde hodnotí klinické a rentgenologické výsledky a zjišťují již po takto krátké době výrazně horší výsledky ve skupině, kde nebyla reinzerce provedena. Dokonce dochází k rentgenologicky prokazatelným artrotickým změnám typu scapholunate advanced collapse (SLAC)

Overview
Authors evaluate the results of patients with acute rupture of the scapholunate (SL) ligament, demonstrated by arthroscopy, in this study. One group of patients was treated with reinsertion of SL ligament by the help of Mitek anchor. In the other group there were patients with diagnosed total rupture of SL ligament which rejected the reinsertion of the ligament. Authors evaluate results of both groups 24 months after the injury. On the basis of clinical and X-ray results, even after such short time, reasonably worse results for the group without performed reinsertion were determined. Even X-ray documented arthrotic changes of scapholunate advanced collapse (SLAC) type were present.
