Současné možnosti chemoterapiea radioterapie nádorů oblastihlavy a krku

Vývoj chemo- a radioterapie během posledních let významně ovlivnil standardní léčbu nádorůhlavy a krku.Je charakterizován pozitivními výsledky, kterých bylo dosaženo zařazenímnovýchcytostatik v léčbě recidivujícího a metastatického onemocnění, úspěchy chemoradioterapiea nadějnými výsledky neoadjuvantního podání protinádorových cytostatik. Chemoterapie mádnes pevné místo v léčebných postupech nádorů oblasti hlavy a krku. Doporučuje se, aby všichninemocní byli léčeni podle daných protokolů a výsledky léčby byly pravidelně vyhodnocovány.

Overview

The development of chemotherapy and radiotherapy in recent years influenced in a significantway standard treatment of tumours of the head and neck. It is characterized by positive resultswhich were achieved by including new cytostatics in the treatment of relapsing and metastaticdisease, by advances of chemotherapy and promising results of non-adjuvant administration ofantitumours cytostatics. Chemotherapy holds nowadays a firm place in therapeutic proceduresof tumours of the head and neck. It is recommended that all patients should be treated accordingto the given protocols and the results of treatment should be regularly evaluated.
