Present Possibilities of Evaluating Drug Efficacy in Common Clinical Practice
Současné možnosti hodnocení účinnosti léčiv v běžné klinické praxi
Začátek století je ve znamení určitého posunu hodnocení účinnosti léčiv. Zlatým standardem zůstává randomizovanákontrolovaná studie, která zajišťuje metodicky nejčistší hodnocení účinnosti intervence. S důrazem napotřebu dat získávaných v běžné klinické praxi, která jsou nejvhodnější pro kategorizaci léčiv na počátku IV.postregistrační fáze, se mění i možnosti hodnocení účinnosti léčiv jak po metodické, tak i po interpretační stránce.Retrospektivní studie hodnocení celých intervencí organizovaných farmaceutickými výrobci přinášejí důležitéinformace s bezprostředním dopadem na běžnou farmakoterapeutickou praxi.

The beginning of the century is under the sign of shifted evaluation of drugs efficacy. The randomized controlledstudy remains the gold standard for providing the methodically best evaluation of efficiency of therapeuticintervention. The possibilities of evaluating drug efficacy in both methodic and interpretation point of view arechanging with putting emphasis upon the need of data obtained in common clinical practice, being apparentlymost suited for drug categorization in the beginning of IVth postregistration phase. Retrospective studiesevaluating whole therapeutic interventions bring important information with immediate implication to commonpharmacotherapeutic practice.
