Inzulinu podobný růstový faktor-1 (IGF-1) je klíčová substance v regulaci buněčné aktivity. Hladiny jsou závisléna různých faktorech a také na věku a pohlaví dítěte. Správná interpretace hodnot IGF-1 je závislá na stanovenívěkově specifických norem.Cílem práce je vymezit hladiny IGF-1 v séru zdravých dětí ve věkovém období 0 až 2 roky a vytvořit takreferenční hodnoty pro tuto věkovou skupinu. Soubor tvořilo 87 dětí ve věku 1 měsíc až 2 roky, 47 chlapců a 36dívek. Hladiny IGF-1 byly stanoveny imunoradiometrickou metodou (IRMA). U chlapců v 1 roce věku bylyprůměrné hodnoty 113 ng/ml, SD 45 ng/ml, ve 2 letech 110 ng/ml, SD 50 ng/ml. U dívek byly hodnoty v 1 roce věku75 ng/ml, SD 45 ng/ml, ve 2 letech 122 ng/ml, SD 66 ng/ml.Závěr: Uvedené hodnoty sérových koncentrací IGF-1 u dětí v období od 0 do 2 roků života bude možno využítv klinické interpretaci a monitoraci onemocnění dětí nejmladších věkových skupin.

Insulin-like growth factor (IGF-1) is belived to play a key role in regulation of cell activity. IGF-1 levels aregreatly influenced by various factors, chronologic age, and sex.The aim of our study was to evaluate age-defined normative serum values in the pediatric population in childrenyounger than 2 years of age. A total of 87 otherwise healthy children (47 male, 36 female) aged 0 to 2 years wereenrolled. Serum IGF-1 determinations were performed by the IRMA method. Mean IGF-1 serum levels for boysyounger than 1 year of age were 113 ng/ml, SD 45 ng/ml, and for girls 75 ng/ml, SD 45 ng/ml. In the group ofchildren younger than 2 year of age, mean IGF-1 levels for boys were 110 ng/ml, SD 50 ng/ml, and for girls 122ng/ml, SD 66 ng/ml.Conclusion: Serum concentrations of IGF-1 in children younger than 2 years are promising as a means formonitoring of the response in young children, and may be a supplementary aid in describing individual changesin various diseases.
