Caries Experience in Children Aged 2-3 Years andPreventive Behaviour of Their Parents
Kazivost a stav dočasného chrupu dětí vevěku 2–3 roky v Praze a preventivní postojea chování jejich rodičů
Průřezová studie stavu chrupu dětí (vyšetření) ve věku 2–3 let žijících v Praze a jejich orálněpreventivního domácího prostředí (dotazník) byla provedena v letech 1997–1998. Průměrnáhodnota KPE zubů činila 0,34 a proti 1991 se signifikantně nezměnila. U dvou třetin dětí ses čistěním zubů kartáčkem a fluoridovanou pastou začalo ve dvou letech, třetina dětí dostávalafluoridové tablety, většinou od šesti měsíců až jednoho roku života. Dvě třetiny dětí byly poprvéprohlédnuty zubním lékařem ve věku 2–3 let. Většina rodin preferuje balené vody k přípravědětské stravy a nápojů, třetina z nich preferuje Dobrou vodu. Většina matek projevila dosta-tečné preventivní vědomosti, ale jen zhruba třetina je praktikuje v péči o dítě.

A cross sectional study was conducted in children aged 2–3 years and of thepreventive background of their home care in the City of Prague in 1997–1998. The mean countof dmf teeth amounted to 0.34 and this value did not differ significantly from the data of 1991.In two thirds of children toothbrushing with fluoride toothpastes began in two years of a ge, onethird was given tablets, mostly since the 6th month or one year of age. Two thirds of childrenwere seen first by dentist at the age of 2–3. The most of families prefer bottled waters for thepreparation of child’s food and drinks, one third of them prefer Good water. The most of mothersrevealed sufficient level of oral health preventive knowledge while only one third of thempracticed this knowledge in the child’s care.
