Operace katarakty v roce 2000
Autoři vyhodnocují dotazníkovou studii týkající se operací šedého zákalu v ČR.Uvádějí výsledky ze všech 58 očních pracovišť, která operují kataraktu.Celkem bylo v ČR v roce 2000 operováno 49 804 očí. U 94,4 % operací byla použitatechnika fakoemulzifikace. Nitrooční čočka byla primárně implantována u 99 %operovaných. Ve více než 27 % byla ke korekci afakie použita měkká nitroočníčočka. Téměř 30 % operovaných bylo řešeno při jednodenní chirurgii.V dalších letech se dá očekávat zvýšená potřeba těchto operací. K tomu, abynevznikaly delší čekací doby bude potřeba více finančních prostředků na novédruhy materiálů nebo vyřešení otázky spoluúčasti pacienta na jejich pořízení.

The authors evaluate a questionnaire survey concern to cataract surgery in theCzech Republic. They present the results of all 58 ophthalmological departmentswhere cataract is operated.In the CR in 2000 a total of 49 804 eyes were operated. In 94.4 % of operations thetechnique of phacoemulsification was used. Primary implantation of an intraocu-lar lens was used in 99 % of the operated patients. In more than 27 % for correctionof aphakia a soft intraocular lens was used. Almost 30 % of the operated patientshad one-day surgery. In coming years a greater need for these operations may beforeseen. To avoid longer waiting periods more financial means will be neededfor new types of materials or a solution of the problem of financial participationof the patient in meeting the costs of surgery.
