NEBOJTE SE METOTREXÁTU
V posledních letech se mění strategie léčby nemocných s revmatoidní artritidou. Léčebné postupy jsou agresivnější,podávají se léky ve vyššímdávkování a v četnějších kombinacích. Jedním ze stěžejních preparátů, řazenýchmezi DMARDs, je i metotrexát. Vzhledem k tomu, že je v povědomí mnoha lékařů, ale i pacientů jako cytostatikum,nebývá obvykle příliš velká ochota jak k jeho preskripci, tak i k jeho užívání. Jde však o lék velmi užitečný v léčbětak agresivní choroby, jakou je revmatoidní artritida; také v dávkování, podávaném v revmatologii, je bezpečný.Článek poukazuje na mnoho jeho dobrých a dnes již nezastupitelných vlastností pro léčbu revmatoidní artritidy.

In recent years, the treatment strategy in patients with rheumatoid arthritis has been changing. The treatmentprocedures are more aggressive, medicaments are prescribed in higher dosages and in more frequent combinations. One of the most important remedy ranked among DMARDs is also Methotrexate. In view of the fact that itis familiar to many physicians and patients as well as cytostatic, there is not usually a great readiness to prescribeand use it. However, it is a very useful remedy of such an aggressive disease as rheumatoid arthritis and also thedosage applied in rheumatology is safe.The paper refers to its many good and irreplaceble properties as concernsthe treatment of rheumatoid arthritis.
