KVANTITATIVNÍ A KVALITATIVNÍ VÝZKUMNÉMETODY VE FYZIOTERAPIIHERMENEUTIKA – MODERNÍ METODAKVALITATIVNÍHO VÝZKUMU
Volba metod výzkumu determinuje jeho směr i dosažené výsledky. Kvantitativní výzkumné metodyjsou vhodné zejména k řešení partikulárních problémů, experimentálně řešených, přístrojově měřených.Použití kvalitativních metod je výhodné tehdy, jestliže zkoumáme jevy v přirozeném prostředís řadou spolupůsobících faktorů a subjekt výzkumníka (terapeuta) nezůstává neutrální – na sledováníse podílí, popřípadě dokonce intervenuje a interpretuje vlastní zkušenost. Jedna z metodkvalitativního výzkumu, výhodná pro využití v medicíně, je hermeneutika – metoda rozumění. Postaletí se uplatňovala při interpretaci kulturních artefaktů (především textů), později též ve vědáchhistorických a v současné době proniká i do oblasti poznávání přírodních skutečností. Jev (bolest,porucha, tělesná asymetrie aj.) je v hermeneutické poloze chápán jako výzva k interpretaci: Jakéokolnosti souvisí s touto poruchou? Je původem funkční či strukturální? Vyvolalo ji viscerálnídráždění? Nese v sobě psychosomatický význam?

Selection of methods in research determines the direction and results obtained. Quantitativeresearch methods are suitable especially for solving particular problems, followed experimentallyand measured using various devices.The use of quantitative methods is of advantage is such cases,where we evaluate investigated manifestations in natural environment with various contributingfactors and the subject of the researcher (therapist) remained neutral – participating in the observationor even intervenes and interprets the own experience.Hermeneutics – the method of understanding is one of the methods of quantitative research, suitablefor exploitation in medicine. It has been applied for centuries for interpretation of cultural artifacts(particularly texts), later also in historic sciences and recently also entering the area of understandingnatural realities. The manifestation (pain, disorder, physical asymmetry etc.) is understood, in thehermeneutic position, as a question for interpretation: what consequences are associated with thisdisorder? Is the origin functional or structural? Was it induced by visceral stimulation? Is therea psychosomatic meaning?
