Overview
Authors describe the case of patient with duodenal obstruction, caused by compression of the third part of duodenum by superior mesenteric artery so called, superior mesenteric artery syndrome (SAMS). They describe clinical course off illness and the way of surgical treatment. Pointing to their perioperative doubts resulting in a way of surgical treatment. In disscussion they describe ethiology, dignostical course, clinical picture and surgical management of patient with SAMS.
