Současné postupy v léčbě stabilizované chronické obstrukční nemoci plicní

Chronická obstrukční plicní nemoc (CHOPN) jako onemocnění s celosvětově stoupající prevalencí a mortalitou představuje velký problém – nejen medicínský, ale i ekonomický. Se stoupajícím výskytem tohoto onemocnění stoupají nejen přímé ale i nepřímé finanční náklady. Světová iniciativa o CHOPN (GOLD) usiluje o zlepšení prevence a léčby CHOPN. Současná doporučení vycházejí z ověřených poznatků o patogenezi CHOPN a ze současných znalostí nejvhodnějších způsobů léčby.

Overview

Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (CHOPN) has worldwide increasing prevalence and mortality. It represents significant medicinal and also economical problem. With the rising incidence of CHOPN both the direct and indirect costs are increasing. World initiative (GOLD) struggles to improve prevention and treatment of CHOPN. Present recommendations relay on the proved findings on the pathogenesis of CHOPN and from the contemporary experience with the most effective therapy.
