Subclinical Hypothyroidism and the Cardiovascular System
Subklinická hypotyreóza se zaměřením nakardiovaskulární systém
Subklinická hypotyreóza je častý stav, který se vyskytuje u 3–7 % populace, u žen nad 60 let přesahuje 10 %. Naklinický význam tohoto syndromu, jak vyplývá z uvedených údajů, není sice jednoznačný názor, je ale zřejmé, žeje zvýšené riziko aterosklerózy a jejích komplikací. Především u starších žen lze doporučit skrínink na subklinickouhypotyreózu a eventuální substituční léčbu zvažovat podle uvedených kritérií. V rozhodování o léčbě subklinickéhypotyreózy by měl internista, resp. endokrinolog spolupracovat s kardiologem, psychiatrem, popřípadě s neurologems cílem korigovat možné klinické dopady subklinické hypotyreózy, resp. předcházet jejich manifestaci.

Subclinical hypothyroidism is comparatively frequent disorder with incidence between 3t o 7 % in the generalpopulation; in females over 60 it can exceed 10 %. There is no unequivocal view on the clinical significance of thesyndrome; however, it may correspond with increased risk of atherosclerosis and its complications. Especially inelderly women, screening for subclinical hypothyroidism is recommended with possible hormone replacementaccording to given criteria. Decision about the therapy of subclinical hypothyroidism should be done together withcardiologist, psychiatrist or neurologist in order to correct possible clinical impacts and prevent further manifestations.
