Overview
Monitoring the incidence of pressure ulcers is an important indicator of the quality of nursing care. Identifying and evaluating information on the number of patients with pressure ulcers and on those who are at risk of developing pressure ulcers, gives middle and senior management of hospitals data for adoption of effective preventive measures leading to improvement of the quality of patient care and reduction of the cost of providing care.
