Overview
The hospice on Svaty Kopecek is one of 11 healthcare facilities in the Czech Republic which have come into existence over the last couple of years. Hospices have introduced into practice the theory of hospice care, focusing on all human dimensions as well as on fulfilling various needs in all human spheres. The hospice on Svaty Kopecek was opened in 2002. It is a privately owned healthcare facility which has brought a lot of experience since its opening: utilization of the hospice, the whole spectrum of the most common tumour diseases and age range of the clients, application of basic principles in care of terminally ill persons.
