CO2 Laser Tonsillotomy in Children with Hypertrophic Palatine Tonsils
CO2 laser-tonzilotomie u dětí s hypertrofickými patrovými tonzilami
Je popsána metodika CO2 laser-tonzilotomií u dětí s hypertrofickými tonzilami. Soubor od listopadu 1998 do října 2000 čítá 23 dětí ve věku 3 - 8 let.Efekt laser-tonzilotomie se projevil již bezprostředně po operaci úpravou dýchání s klidným spánkem. Nebyla zaznamenána výraznější bolestivost při polykání. Nevyskytla se také žádná komplikace ve smyslu pooperačních edémů nebo krvácení v oblasti dutiny ústní a hltanu.

The authors describe the method of CO2 laser tonsillotomy in children with hypertrophic tonsils. The group treated from November 1998 to October 2000 comprises 23 children aged 3 - 8 years.The effect of laser tonsillotomy was manifested immediately after operation by smoother respiration and quiet sleep. The authors did not record marked pain during swallowing. There were no complications such as postoperative oedemas or haemorrhage in the area of the oral cavity and pharynx.
