Success of Initial Stage of Treatmentof Inflammatory Affections of the Periodontium under Conditions of CommonDental Care
Úspěšnost iniciální fáze léčby zánětlivýchpostižení parodontu v podmínkách běžnéstomatologické praxe
V práci byla hodnocena úspěšnost iniciální terapie u souboru 80 pacientů. V průběhu léčbybyl parodont hodnocen pomocí indexů PBI a CPITN, při CPI 3, 4 byla měřena hloubkaparodontálních chobotů. Autoři zaznamenali zájem pacientů o léčbu, který stoupá s tíží postiženíparodontu. Dále prokázali vysokou úspěšnost iniciální fáze terapie, její časovou i finančnídostupnost pro stomatologické praxe.

Study evaluated the efficiency of initial therapy in the group of 80 patients.Periodontal tissues status during the treatment was evaluated by these indices – PBI, CPITN,depth of periodontal pockets was measured in the subgroup of patients. Authors reported thatpatient’s interest in treatment increased when the disease is more severe. They also provedhigh efficiency of the initial therapy and feasibility of this treatment for private dentists.
