Influence of Time on Mercury Release fromAmalgams in Model Corrosion Conditions
Vliv času na uvolňování rtuti z amalgámů přimodelovém korozním namáhání
V práci byla sledována rychlost uvolňování rtuti do modelového roztoku slin ze souboru šestivýšeměďnatých a jednoho klasického amalgámu. Časový úsek měření byl 10 dní až 36 měsícůod přípravy vzorků. U většiny materiálů byly až do stáří 15 měsíců zaznamenány významnépoklesy, nejnižší rychlost uvolňování rtuti trvale vykazoval Tytin. Klasický amalgám se svýmivýsledky od chování celé skupiny studovaných materiálů nelišil. V práci je dokumentovánazávislost rychlosti uvolňování rtuti na jejím obsahu ve výplni.

Summary:
The authors investigated the rate of mercury release into a model solution ofsaliva from a group of six high-copper and one classical amalgam. The time for assessment was10 days to 36 months after preparation of the samples. In the majority of materials up to 18months a significant decline was recorded, the lowest rate of mercury release was permanentlyfound for Tytin. Classical amalgam did not differ as to its results from the behaviour of thewhole group of investigated materials. The authors document the correlation between mercuryrelease and its content in the filling.
