Influence of Partner Relationships on the Course of Psychotic Disease
Vplyv partnerských vzťahov na priebeh psychotického ochorenia
K rozvoju schizofrénneho ochorenia dochádza pri prekročení pomyselného prahu vulnerability pôsobením schizofrenogénnych vplyvov. Geneticky kódovaná alebo získaná diatéza sa aj fenotypicky prejaví vtedy, keď je aktivovaná externými spúšťačmi – špecifickými faktormi prostredia. Výsledky výskumných štúdií ako aj klinická skúsenosť poukazujú na skutočnosť, že počet a závažnosť relapsov psychózy môžu byť významne ovplyvnené spôsobom fungovania sociálnej skupiny, do ktorej sa pacient vracia po ukončení hospitalizácie.
Autori prezentujú aktuálny stav poznatkov týkajúcich sa problematiky vplyvu životných udalostí a emočnej expresivity na nástup a priebeh schizofrénie. Na sérii mikrokazuistík poukazujú na význam fungujúceho partnerského vzťahu ako potenciálneho faktora chrániaceho pacienta pred rizikom relapsu ochorenia.

Overview
The development of schizophrenic disease develops when the imaginary threshold of vulnerability is surpassed by the action of schizophrenogenic effects. The genetically encoded or acquired diathesis becomes phenotypically manifest, when it is activated by external triggers, external factors of the environment. The results of research investigations as well as clinical experience draw attention to the fact that number and severity of relapses of psychosis may be significantly influenced by the way of functioning in the social group, where the patients returns after the hospitalization.
The authors describe the present state of knowledge concerning the influence of life events and expressed emotion on the onset and course of schizophrenia. A series of microcase reports they draw attention to the role of functioning partner relationship as a potential factor protecting the patient from the risk of disease relapse.
