Cognitive Impairment in Patients with Schizophrenia
Poruchy kognitivních funkcíu nemocných schizofrenií
Poruchy kognitivních funkcí patří ke klíčovým oblastem postižení při schizofrenii.Nejvýraznější defi cit je vázán na paměť, pozornost a exekutivní funkce. Selhávánív neuropsychologických testech zaměřených na tyto oblasti je stále častěji přičítáno abnormitámv prefrontální kůře a narušení mediotemporálních struktur mozku. Poruchy kognice úzce souvisejíse selháváním v běžných životních situacích a s kvalitou života schizofrenních nemocných.

Cognitive impairment is consistently reported for patients with schizophrenia and is considered asa core defi cit in this disease. Impaired memory, attention and executive functions are main domainsunderlying multiple neuropsychological defi cit. Evidence is accumulating that these impairmentsare predominantly related to abnormalities in the prefrontal cortex and mediotemporal structuresof the brain. Cognitive defi cits are closely connected with malfunctioning in everyday life situationsand with a quality of life of patients.
