Differences in Marital Satisfaction of Men and Women
Rozdíly v manželské spokojenosti mužu a žen
Cílem naií práce bylo zjistit, zda mezi muži a ženami existují rozdíly v manželské spoko-jenosti a v poizpusobení manželskému soužití. Výzkumu se zúeastnilo 58 manželských páru,z nichž 32 bylo klienty rodinných poraden. Zbývajících 26 dvojic poradenské služby nikdy nevy-hledalo. Ukázalo se, že v souboru klientu jsou muži v manželství spokojenijií než ženy, a že jsoupartnerským vztahum lépe poizpusobeni, a to zejména ve faktorech emocionálních a sexuálníchvztahu. Mezi manželskou spokojeností a skóre manželského poizpusobení existuje vysoká a statis-ticky významná korelace. V kontrolním souboru 26 dvojic se neobjevily žádné signifikantní rozdí-ly v manželské spokojenosti a manželském poizpusobení mužu a žen. Ukázalo se viak, že osoby,které se hlásí k náboženskému poesvideení, jsou v manželství spokojenijií než nevioící.

This study examined the differences in marital satisfaction and marital adjustment of men andwomen. The research sample consisted of 58 married couples; 32 couples were clients of familycounselling offices, 26 couples had never sought any counselling. Marital satisfaction was foundto be greater in men than in women in the clients™ group. Marital adjustment was also higher inmen, especially in these factors: affectionate intimacy and sexual adjustment. There were nosignificant differences in marital satisfaction and marital adjustment in the control group be-tween males and females. Nevertheless people with some religious belief were more satisfied inmarriage than partners without any religious belief.
