Systemic scleroderma (SSc) is a rare chronic systemic connective tissue disease. It affects the skin, blood vessels, and several internal organs, often leading to sclerosis and fibrosis. Treatment must be comprehensive and include regular check-ups to detect internal organ involvement and the risk of disease progression early. Recommended lung involvement screening is conducted at regional lung clinics or centers specializing in diagnosing and treating interstitial lung processes (IPP). 1 Our interactive case study details the approach to managing a patient with SSc and the process for diagnosing progressive IPP.
